I always get amped when new releases of vSphere are released, the latest version (6.7) got released a few months back and introduced a host of new improvements. Most noteably, the new and improved VMware vCenter Server Appliance has had a makeover to give administrators a better experience from a management persspective but also the overhaul has vastly improved the overall performance and memory requirements (2-3X) needed to run the appliance. Unfortunately, for me my old HP Proliant DL380 G6 in my lab still needs to run an older version of vSphere.
However you can read the vSphere 6.7 release notes here
But this post is more about Vembu’s latest update, which now includes support for vSphere 6.7, with this update (Vembu BDR Suite 3.9.1 Update 1), customers can use Vembu for backup and replication of their virtual machines in their VMware vSphere 6.7 environment. This update also includes a number of minor enhancements to the console as well.
Vembu’s update 1 is GA now and is ready for download.
